Dear Santa,

I’ve been mostly a good boy this year. I didn’t lie much or steal much. I wasn’t particularly nice to people; but, mostly for lack of occasion, I wasn’t mean to people either. I felt bad when bad things happened and good when good things happened. Of course, being an exile, I couldn’t help but be a little selfish. I could be more charitable. Next year I will try to be more charitable. As you see fit, perhaps you could get me, say, five of the items below. Thanking you in advance for your consideration,

8. Or, to make things easier, a gift certificate for what looks like about $5000.
9. A reflective white surface, say, 2 feet square. It could be ceramic. It could even be plastic. As long as it’s shiny and reflective.
10. And purely for sentiment, an orange.

Yes, probably somebody else deserves it more, but nuts to that, I want my gear.
