November 5, 2004: Beauty is Perspective

It’s always been my opinion that there is beauty in everything. Sometimes you just have to get real close. And occasionally, you have to get far away. Beauty, like ugliness, is all perspective.

And it remains true that this image, at least for me, is beautiful. But I’m also altogether distressed that my can opener, which I stick in cans of soup and tuna and so forth, is so terribly corroded and more than a little disgusting.

Perhaps I shouldn’t have taken such a close look. And while I feel like soup, and maybe a tuna sandwich, I think I will have something else instead.

Ah — the classic statement — ‘there is beauty in everything’ —- not sure I agree with that one… to know beauty, one must also no ugly —

Nevermind… Hope things are well — and Murph is getting out for her walk. I’m heading up to Wisconsin for the weekend — going to spend it with John (orbit1) — should be refreshing and a blast… How’s the camera coming along? Anything worthwhile yet?
